The spaceMy recently updated apartment is in one of Chicago's hottest neighborhoods (Lakeview). The building was built in 1884, before this area was formally annexed into Chicago (in 1889)! While records no longer exist, the building has been converted several times since then. You'll see from the photos that it's been updated quite a bit boasting modern furniture and amenities. While refreshing this space, we kept an eye on preserving original details to give you a unique blend of historical charm with modern conveniences. We look forward to hosting you and your group!

Neighborhood overviewThere's so much to Lakeview that makes it one of Chicago's most sought after neighborhoods for residents. You'll be walking distance to major attractions like Wrigley Field, Lincoln Park, Lincoln Park Zoo, and the Lakefront. With mass transit within a short walk, you've got access to all of Chicago's attractions and museums and sports venues. In the heart of the Belmont Theatre district you've got great local plays, music and shows. We're a short walk to the hospital as well as amazing restaurants, cafes, shopping, nightlife, and entertainment. You'll also have easy access to the Loop and all the hustle and bustle of the city and attractions whenever you need them, or you can unplug and relax in the quietness of the apartment.
This neighborhood, and the home itself, was built by and for by industrial workers which provided a foundation for the nearby expanding city in the late 1800's. The area has since become one of the most sought after locations by young and old. Many Chicago athletes and celebrities have homes in this neighborhood.
Homes can range from brand new to 150+ years old. Interesting architecture abounds and we invite you to enjoy the simplicity of a walk through our beautiful neighborhood and explore all the city has to offer!
Getting aroundWe're within minutes of bus stops and our mass transit trains (The L). We're located conveniently off major highways and Lake Shore Drive, which makes getting to and from the apartment easy. While we don't have any parking spots, street parking is available (for a fee) and there are convenient public garages within minutes walk. When you're staying with us, we recommend walking, public transit, and uber/lyft for getting around quickly and easily as parking and traffic can be a bit of a pain.
